Origin Of Soil | Geotechnical Engineering | GATE 2019 Exam

Soil are formed by weathering of rocks and decomposition of organic matter. Therefore soils may be organic or inorganic depends upon the source of origin. Organic soils are also called as a "Cumulose soil". Examples: Peat, Humus, Muck, etc.

Geological Cycle is an important parameter of the Soil mechanics, because the geological cycle consists of the all process from the decomposition of rock and its transportation and deposition.

As mansion above process of formation of Soil from Rock, it also depends upon the weathering action which may tends to various results. Like Physical and Chemical weathering are the two types of the weathering.

Watch the video which are listed below help you all to identify the GATE exam notes and the detailed information regarding the Origin of soil and there process of transportation and deposition.

Soil classification also depends upon the source of transportation like the source as a river, lake, wind, gravitational forces and Glacier. So base on sources of transportation the Soil designation also get classified.

So watch the video PART 1 & 2 Till the end so that you can get as idea about the GATE 2019 exam questions.
